My travel bug is back

I've never believed in omens before.
It's an odd coincidence that these three books ended up on the same small shelf in my bookstore.
Wierd.

A place to call my own

I found it.

As we get older

I spent the weekend contemplating age.

Growing old is not optional. It happens, whether you like it or not. Sometimes it happens gracefully, and sometimes not so much. Sometimes it can be one of the most frustrating experiences. Your mouth won't say what your mind wants it to. Your health deteriorates rapidly. You become unable to care for yourself, and have to rely on others or be put into a Nursing Home, which can sometimes feel like the place where you wait to die.

My Grandma has friends that she has known since she first moved to Australia at 25 years of age. We celebrated her 80th birthday just a month ago. Her friends came to visit in the Nursing Home when I was there last weekend.

55 years of friendship. Wow.

Who will you still be friends with when you're 80?

Where you are is exactly where you are supposed to be

A kookaburra was sitting outside my apartment block this morning!



What a lovely welcome gift for my newly arrived teammate from Poland.

It made me think of all the Aussies overseas right now.

Wanting something...

Thinking you want something...


I can't differentiate anymore.

Is there even a difference???

Decisions are hard. Not making a decision is harder.

Isn't it obvious? Well, yes, but...

I'm so glad I worked this piece of leadership advice out for myself, even if I worked it out later than I would have hoped.
